Manufacturing Careers Internship Program (MCIP)
Check out the Youth Employment Manufacturing Careers Internship Program. MCIP opens career paths for youths ages 18 - 21 to either obtain a job or take additional manufacturing education and training.
- How it Works:
- 2-wk Boot Camp
- 8 –wk Internship (paid)
- Overview of the manufacturing industry
- Tour major employers in the manufacturing industry
- Learn about the variety of jobs available in “In 2011, over 65% of all participants were offered a full-time job!”
This five-step approach provides youth with a 10-week industry based training module that provides role models, training and hands-on manufacturing sector experience.
THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:
- HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
- Your age
- Your address
- Your telephone number
- Are you currently attending high school or college?
- Details about your work experience (if any - including volunteer work.)
- What is your availability? (Days and hours.)
- Do you know anything about manufacturing? (It is ok if you don't.)
